Wire Guards

We can supply and fit wire guards to windows carried out to the following technical specification.

Technical Specification

Material

All window guards manufatured by Fabco use AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel fully certified for conformance.  This means only the highest quality materials are used in the whole production process allowing us to give an indefinite guarantee against corrosion and faulty workmanship.

Process

The standard is a welmesh with aperture spacing of 3" x 1/2" x 12 swg and the perimeter surround is 6mm diameter fully profiled to the aperture of each window.  Each guard is welded at each intersection using a continuous inert gas fully shrouded welded arc process.

Finishing

The standard finish is painted semi-matt black high temperature powder coat to our own specification.  We have developed this process using a type of non reflective paint which gives the desired effect of making the guard virtually disappear from sight when viewing from a short distance.

Fixing

The guards are fixed by a stainless steel clip secured with a stainless steel screw into a Fisher masonry plug using the joints in the stonework wherever possible.  By placing guards on the innermost of the stonework the detail of the window masonry can be viewed in its entirety.
